The Mommie's Stuff

Mamma needs surgery.

August 6, 2008

Have I mentioned we have a cat? And we are the owners.  (masters, no.  owners, technically.)

She’s an inside cat!  (but she got out).

She’s young. (in people years)

We didn’t want to put her through surgery!  (didn’t being the key word here)

There are no other male cats around here (we think, not that we flipped ‘em over or anything)

She’s a very slim, active cat. (until recently)

She is was our sole pet.  Until she queened.

Here are the babies at 5 days old.

Apparently, they call this process “queening”.

Fancy that?

They didn’t call it queening when I grew old(enough), got out, gained weight, and multiplied.

Now she can join the ranks of the mamma’s in this house that need surgery. ;)

Children & Technology

"Multi-tasking"

"Multi-tasking"

Now, before you think I’m showing you my adorable (albeit with straying fingers) children, I am just showing you the OTHER side of THIS little scenario:

Emma & Megan are fighting.

And Emma stomps away, declaring, “Errrrr. I don’t want Megan.

I want to X Megan.

Yes, she said, “x”.

X as in the little button at the top of the computer game.

X as in what you push when you want to turn it OFF.

Sheer brilliance, I say.  (in a slightly homicidal way.  but still!)

Oh the Disparity / & a freebie

August 4, 2008

That’s a word, right?  Disparity.  At least it is to me.

I have put up a brand new (one of many) menu template on my gluten free site.  Here’s the preview if you’d like to use it yourself.  It is the “Raspberry Jam Menu” template.  (because the scrapping kit that I bought was called, “Raspberry Jam”.

Anyhow, this gorgeous thing is on my gluten free BLOG.

I TOO have a raspberry jam menu on my fridge -

Can you see the jam all over it?  This scan makes it look white.  It’s a nice scanner.  My favorite.

Oh, I have something funny to post later!

Take care, Mommies,
